How do you share a ChatGPT team plan?

ChatGPT Team was renamed ChatGPT Business in 2025. It is a shared workspace: an admin buys seats and invites people, and each person signs in with their own account. A workspace needs at least two paid seats.

Sharing one personal login is a different thing, and the personal plans’ terms are written for one person. This page covers the honest way to share: a workspace with a seat for each person, and a fair split of what it costs.

NeverSub is not affiliated with or endorsed by ChatGPT. ChatGPT is a trademark of its owner.

What is a ChatGPT Business workspace?

A paid workspace with one seat per person. The admin manages billing and members, and each member has their own login and history.

Each member’s conversations stay in their own account unless they choose to share them with the workspace. Shared projects let a team work from the same files and instructions.

Who can you share it with?

People who each get their own seat: a small team, a study circle or a few freelancers who work together.

Only share a plan whose terms cover the people you add. Every person needs their own seat; one seat is never passed between people. The admin decides who joins and removes a seat when someone leaves.

How do you split the cost of a ChatGPT workspace?

Each person pays for their own seat. NeverSub works out the shares and keeps the record of who has paid.

The admin is the host on NeverSub: they create a room with one seat per person and invite people with a link. Each member pays the host directly, with UPI or whatever they already use, and taps “I’ve paid”. The host confirms and the seat is active for the month.

Once the host confirms a payment, the room shows the email to invite to the workspace. NeverSub never holds money and adds no fee on top.

What happens when someone leaves?

The admin removes their seat from the workspace, and the host removes them from the room.

The seat in the room opens again. The host can send the invite link to the next person, or list the seat in a college or company community they have verified.
