For colleges

How does subscription splitting work for college students?

College is where most people first split a plan, usually through a long message thread and a lot of reminders. On NeverSub, students verify their college email to join their college’s community, then share plans through rooms.

A room keeps the plan, the seats, the share and the login in one place. Members pay the host directly and the host confirms, so nobody has to keep a spreadsheet of who has paid.

How does a college community work?

Students join by verifying an email address on their college’s domain. There is one community per domain, and the first student to verify creates it.

Verification sends a code to the college address. Once it is confirmed, other members see “Verified @domain” beside you, never the address itself.

The student who creates the community gets a creator badge. Everyone who verifies after them joins the same community, so a college never ends up split across lookalikes.

How do I find a seat?

Hosts can list a room’s open seats in the community, where every verified member can see them.

A listing shows what the plan is, what a seat includes, how many seats are left and what the share is. Take a seat, and the room shows you how to pay the host.

Rooms between friends do not have to be listed at all. A host can keep a room to an invite link and still use the community to fill the last seat or two.

How do students pay each other?

Directly. A member pays the host with whatever they already use, taps “I’ve paid”, and the host confirms.

NeverSub never holds money and charges no fee, so a share costs exactly the share. The login unlocks only once the host has confirmed the payment.

Each month the host sees who has paid and can send a reminder through any messaging app. When a semester ends or someone moves on, they can leave or the host can remove them, and the seat opens up again.

Who can see my details?

Other members see your name and “Verified @domain”. They never see your college email or your phone number.

You sign in with your phone number and a code sent by text. Your college email is used only to verify that you belong to the community.

You can download your data or delete your account from inside the app at any time.
