Safety
Is it safe to split subscriptions?
NeverSub reduces the common risks of sharing a plan: logins pasted into message threads, strangers with no context, and nobody quite sure who has paid. It does that with verified communities, invites the host controls, and a login that only confirmed members can see.
NeverSub never holds money. Members pay hosts directly, so the most important safety step is the one you already take: share with people you trust.
Who can see a community’s rooms?
Only members who verified an email on the community’s domain. A college or company community is closed to anyone without that email.
Verification sends a code to the address. Other members then see “Verified @domain” beside you rather than the address itself, and they never see your email or your phone number.
Communities are private. Open seats listed in one are visible to its verified members, not to the whole internet.
Who controls the invite link?
The host does. An invite link or code leads to one room, and the host decides who to send it to.
Invite links are for people the host already knows: family, flatmates, friends. Someone who opens the link still has to sign in with their phone number before they can take a seat.
Because the host confirms every payment before the login unlocks, a forwarded link on its own does not get anyone access.
How are login details protected?
Logins are encrypted when the host saves them and shown only inside the app to members the host has confirmed.
Nobody sees the login just by taking a seat. Until the host confirms their payment, a member sees that the login is locked. The host can also skip sharing a login and invite the member’s email to the plan instead.
If someone should no longer have access, the host can remove them from the room at any time. Changing the password on the plan itself is still worth doing after someone leaves.
What about the money?
NeverSub never holds money. Members pay the host directly, so a payment is between the two of them.
That keeps NeverSub free and simple, and it means NeverSub cannot refund a payment or take one back. The room keeps a clear record instead: who took a seat, who said they paid and with what reference, and when the host confirmed.
If you are unsure about a host, take a seat in a room run by someone you know, or by someone who verified the same college or company email as you.
Can I download or delete my data?
Yes. You can download what NeverSub keeps about you, or delete your account, from inside the app.
Sign-in uses your phone number and a code sent by text, so there is no NeverSub password to leak. An email address is optional and only needed for communities and plan invites.
