How many devices can share a JioHotstar plan?

JioHotstar plans differ mainly in how many devices can watch, and on what. At the time of writing the Mobile plan covers one phone or tablet, Super covers two devices and Premium covers four, TVs included.

That makes the bigger plans the natural ones to split at home. Plans and their limits change often, so check the current plan page before you choose one, and only share a plan whose terms cover the people you add.

NeverSub is not affiliated with or endorsed by JioHotstar. JioHotstar is a trademark of its owner.

Which JioHotstar plan is worth splitting?

The one that covers every screen your home watches on at the same time. A plan with too few devices means someone gets logged out mid-match.

Count the people who watch and the devices they use: the TV in the living room, a laptop, a couple of phones. Pick the plan whose device count covers them, and treat its device limit as the number of seats in your room.

Big sports seasons are when a plan gets the most use, so agree before the season starts who is in and for how long.

Who should you share it with?

The people you live with. A streaming plan is easiest to share within one home, where everyone watches on the same TV and the same terms apply.

Family and flatmates are the easy case. Read the plan’s terms for who it covers before you add anyone from outside your home.

How do members get the login?

The host saves it in the room. NeverSub encrypts it and shows it only to members whose payment the host has confirmed.

When someone leaves, the host changes the password and updates it in the room, so only current members can see it. Write the house rules in “What’s included”, for example “one device each on match days”.

How do you split the cost of JioHotstar?

Divide the plan price by the devices in use. NeverSub works out whole shares that add up to the price and adds no fee on top.

Each member pays the host directly, with UPI or whatever they already use, and taps “I’ve paid”. The host confirms and the seat is active for the month.

NeverSub never holds money. It keeps the record of who has paid, and the host can send a reminder in one tap when a share is due.
