How does the Duolingo family plan work?
Duolingo Super Family puts up to six people on one Super subscription: the person who pays and up to five others. Each learner keeps their own account, streak and progress.
It is a good plan to split among family, flatmates or friends learning together. Check Duolingo’s current terms in your country before you invite anyone, and only share a plan whose terms cover the people you add.
NeverSub is not affiliated with or endorsed by Duolingo. Duolingo is a trademark of its owner.
Who can join a Duolingo family plan?
Up to five people the plan manager invites, each with their own Duolingo account.
The plan manager sends an invite from their account, and each member accepts it while signed in to their own account. Their courses and progress do not change.
The seats on the plan, the manager’s included, are the seats in the room.
Does everyone keep their own progress?
Yes. Each learner keeps their own courses, streaks and progress, and leaving the plan does not erase them.
Learning together works better with a shared goal. Some households agree on a lesson a day, or learn the same language and compare how far they have got each week.
What happens when someone leaves?
The plan manager removes them, they go back to the free version, and their progress stays on their account.
On NeverSub the seat opens again in the room, and the room keeps the record of who paid for which month.
